26 weeks!! Football!! Soccer!!

Another two weeks has gone by...I'm 26 weeks now and almost in the third trimester!! That means the baby will be here soon!!  I cant wait to meet her!

Things have been busy again as usual.  Football started for Zach and Dylan.  This is Dylan's first year playing football and he LOVES it.  He is pretty good too!  For being such a little guy they have him tackling on the line and he couldn't be happier! They also have him playing wide receiver, which he also likes!  Win Win! Zach on the other hand, is not so impressed with football this year.  This is his 4rd year playing but since he is going into 5th grade this year he is on the oldest junior football team with 5th and 6th graders.  The coaches for this team like to do a lot of conditioning, which means lots of running and sprinting.  Zach's not a big fan of this!  He would much rather just run plays, tackle kids, and get dirty! Hopefully once games start he will like it more!  Both boys have their first games of the season on September 9th! Derek's also been busy with football and coaching for the Sayre High School team. He loves coaching but it sure does make for very busy weeks and weekends with all the boys and Derek involved in a sport!

Since Colton can't play football, although he would love to, he plays soccer!  Soccer also just started and he is doing really well!  He has improved a lot since last year and really likes playing!  He now insists that he needs goalie gloves (he's not a goalie) and a mouth guard (not necessary for 7 year old soccer) lol. He wants to be just like his older brothers!

Baby Brooklyn (finally settled on the name for sure) is growing like a little weed!  Still likes to give us a scare every once in a while and send me to the doctors!  I had to be seen again this past week due to more spotting.  The doctors checked everything out and again said She and I were both just fine.  I asked if I should continue calling for things like this and they said absolutely! I told them that they should get used to seeing me every other week then because this seems to be an ongoing thing!

So at 26 weeks:

*Baby Brooklyn finally has a set name!  We are still trying to decide if her middle name will be Ann or Nicole.  I like Ann, because it is a family name.
*She is still dancing around in my belly like a little ballerina
*Brooklyn weighs in at 2 pounds now!! And if she was born today (Praying she is not) she would have a very good chance of surviving outside of the womb!! PHEW!!
*She continues to love listening to Baby Mozart every evening and bounces around like a bouncy ball in my belly.  Hopefully after birth this music has a calming effect on her and not the opposite as it seems to right now!
*I still wake up with a daily throbbing headache!  Ugh
*Only craving lately is for York Peppermint Patties..frozen only!  Although, I could still definitely go for a Coor's Light or glass of wine!  I'm considering sneaking a bottle of wine into the hospital to drink while delivering :)   just kiddddding!!!
*The best feeling in the world is feeling her move everyday and knowing we are one day closer to having a beautiful baby girl in our lives!! <3

Belly is starting to really pop out now!! :)

Goodbye sweet summer! :(

Since summer is ending...and school starts TOMORROW(for me anyway, kids next Wednesday) we have been trying to get outside as much as possible.  So today was our last pool day of the summer. We went to Grandma and Poppa's pool for the afternoon and had some fun trying to catch action shots with the camera.  The boys all had a blast!  Between arguments and bickering the kids swam, and built forts with pool toys all day.  Unfortunately we had to leave and get Colton to his soccer scrimmage and Zach to football practice.  Im hoping for a few nice weekends before pool season is over!!
I did manage to get at least a few pretty cool pictures of the boys jumping into the pool!!

 Colton!
(trying to be like his big brother and be air jordan)

 Zach!
(attempting to be air jordan)

 Dylan!
(3 tubes at once!)

Carter!
(with a super powered toy!!)

A few fun things before summer ends!

The past couple weeks have been busy with football and soccer starting and trying to fit in a few last minute things before school starts again. A few weeks ago the Jets were having their training camp in Cortland, NY which is only about an hour from us, since Derek and the boys are big Jets fans we took them up to watch a scrimmage. The boys loved it and had a great time trying to get autographs! Of course, the big name players never came around to sign, so we got a bunch of autographs and are not sure who they are from :) The next day though Zachary went with Poppa to watch again and got a few more autographs but got to shake hands with Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez. The kid smiled from ear to ear!!

Here are a few pics of Tim Tebow and the Jets:

For Derek's birthday in June I bought him Yankee tickets!  So on August 18th Derek and I headed into NYC for the Yankee game.  We stayed overnight just outside the city in Fort Lee, NJ and then drove into the city early the next morning to do some sightseeing before the game started at 7pm. Needless to say, with my navigation skills and Derek's refusal to ask directions, we didnt make it to far that day!  We did make it to time square, and the Empire State Building...but that was about it before it started raining and got MISERABLE out!  So we camped out in a restuarant and then headed back to the stadium.  Of course, due to heavy rain, the game was delayed for about 2 hours.  But we waited it out and stuck around through the 7th inning before heading home.

Waiting for the game to start!

 Sky not looking so good!

2 more week down! Many more to go!

Well, two more weeks have gone by!  Im 24 weeks today! Thats 6 months!! Wahoo! The past couple weeks have been kinda rough. Im pretty sure my doctor is going to think I am crazy soon! Although, he never ever seems bothered or annoyed by phone calls or quick visits, so that makes it easier!  Maybe I'm just too much of a worrier but at this point I am willing to do whatever it takes to make this little girl come out of me healthy and happy!!
So this past week I went in to see the Dr. Herbst because I noticed some unusual things (not going to gross anyone out on here with details haha!) I called and he told me to come right in, my blood pressure was through the roof because I was worried, he checked things out and listened to the babies heart and felt confident that everything was perfectly fine.  So I headed home feeling much better about everything.  Well later that day I developed a horrible pain on my right side and back that traveled down below my belly. It was bad enough that it hurt to move and walk.  Every time I moved a sharp stabbing pain shot through my back and belly.  I, of course worried again, searched online to try to self diagnose myself.  Never a good idea!  Every website or symptom checker points straight to death and doom!  So the next morning I called my regular doctor, not wanting to bother my OB...well needless to say, they got worried, so what do they do, but call my OB!! Ugh, I thought for sure that man was going to hate me!  TWICE in less than 24 hours I was going to see him! But again, he got me right in, checked everything AGAIN and convinced me everything was fine.  So I came home and relaxed for the rest of the day, or the best I could with three boys running around!  Good new is everything is fine, baby is still dancing in there like crazy, and the pain is starting to subside..kinda.

So at 24 weeks:
*Baby girl is becoming a dancing ballerina/soccer player/kickboxing queen
*She is using my bladder as her stage to dance on.
*She is responding to the music that I play for her at night (she loves it!)
*I am beginning to feel Braxton Hicks..not fun...but well worth it
*I wake up with a daily throbbing headache...(a hangover type headache, but no alcohol involved)
*I crave nothing still...but could really really go for a Coor's Light Beer..or wine would do also!
*I lied, I did crave strawberry toaster strudels this week lol..random
*I LOVE laying down at night and watching my belly move around with her dancing inside, because it reassures me that she is ok! <3
