35 weeks - Baby Shower!!

Brooklyn's birthday is getting closer and closer! 35 weeks!  Im getting very excited to meet her and see what she looks like!  She gave us another scare this past week, but all is ok.  On monday we went into the Dr's due to heavier spotting than I am used too.  He checked everything out and everything was ok.  They did a non stress test...which is just when they hook my belly up to a monitor and track the baby's movements and heart rate.  She did not like this test at all!  Every time the nurse put the monitor on her...she would move away from it so that it could not pick up her heartbeat.  So the nurse would move the monitor and the baby would move again to get away.  It was pretty funny.  This little girl might be stubborn like her momma!  So I'm just tracking fetal movements and hopefully all will remain good.  Other than that nothing is new with the baby...my appointments are now every 2 weeks, so thats exciting...means its getting close.  Derek and I started birthing classes last week.  We are doing hypnobirthing.  It is an awesome program and teaches you a lot about relaxation and how the body works to get the baby out as natural as possible. We closed on the addition to our house last week, so they will be starting the construction soon!

So at 35 weeks:
 - Brooklyn continues to enjoy her music every night
-  She wiggles and rolls around quite a bit
-  Not much room left in there so my belly warps into all sorts of shapes
-  Zoey does not like to leave my side, she lays with her head on my belly and Brooklyn kicks her
-  My hands and feet are starting to swell and look like sausages
-  I can no longer wear my wedding rings...they are on a necklace now :(
-  I am getting anxious to get things organized, but can't because construction has not started yet. SOON!
-  I do not sleep well at night anymore, impossible to get comfortable
-  I have a lot of low pressure
-  I like to poke at Brooklyn and watch her kick back at me
-  My tailbone hurts on a daily basis

Not very big belly - but Dr. says its perfect size...ok with me!

I had my baby shower last weekend on Oct. 21st. The shower was at Original Italian Grille.  We had pizza, wings, and salad to eat!   It was beautiful and I loved everything about it.  Everybody who planned it for me did an awesome job!  It was great to see everyone and I got a lot of really nice things that will be put to good use very soon!  I cant wait to use everything.

Cute sundress centerpieces that Brooklyn can wear next year!!

 Holy gifts!  SOo much stuff!!

Fingerprint tree that my brother-in-law made for us!  Everyone used an ink pad and put their fingerprint on a tree branch and then signed their name on it.  Can't wait to hang in the nursery!

Super cute cake!  I love the owl theme!!

A Vera Bradley diaper bag from my momma!  I love it! Can't wait to use it!

My little niece Lilley and I.  She's so cute and picked out some really cute stuff for Brooklyn all by herself! Love her!

Michelle, me, and Carrie waiting patiently to meet Brooklyn!  These ladies threw me an awesome shower!!  Thanks so much girls!! Love you guys!

Colton also had his last soccer game this past weekend. So soccer, outdoor anyway, is officially over.  Now onto indoor soccer! He was super excited to get this trophy and couldnt wait to show it off to everyone!

33ish weeks! YIKES! - Small meltdown

HOLY COW!!  33 weeks!  Time is flying by, yet feels like it is barely moving!!  We will have our little  baby girl in our arms before we know it, yet it still seems so far away! I can not wait to meet her and see her!  I wonder what she looks like...Judging from the ultrasound pictures I THINK she is going to have her daddy's nose and my lips.  And it looks like her cheeks might be kinda chubby!! I imagine she'll probably have brown curly hair and brown eyes...maybe green.  Derek and I both have brown curly hair...but he has hazel eyes and I have green.  All dark eyes on my side of the family...but he has a lot of blue and brown on his side, so we will see!

Im fully into my third trimester now and still feel pretty good.  More tired than before again, but nothing unmanageable. Derek thinks I am cranky and miserable...but I don't think I've been that bad.  I am ashamed to admit BUT....I did throw a small fit the other night because I wanted a FRIENDLY'S  Sundae...I wanted Cookie Dough ice cream, with peanut butter topping, whip cream, and a cherry.  God Bless him, he went to Tops and bought Friendly's brand cookie dough ice cream, Reese's peanut butter topping, whip cream (in a tub...not the can) and cherries.  Now, while I was very thankful, I was feeling miserable and completely took it out on poor Derek.  I was ticked that it was EXTREME cookie dough and not regular...and that the whip cream was in a tub not a can...and I wanted Friendly's peanut butter topping..not Reese's.  I shouldnt admit this lol...I feel horrible about the whole thing.  He was a good sport though and even offered to drive to Elmira to get me one...of course I told him that wasn't necessary...instead I sucked it up and ate what he bought lol.  I swear its the only time I've ever done that and I promised him I would not do it again.  I was just plain miserable that night!
Oh man...

Other than that isolated incident...things haven't been so bad!

So at 33 weeks:
* Brooklyn is growing like a weed!
* My belly is getting bigger and bigger...its close to impossible to hide my belly now and my feet are beginning to disappear beneath my belly
* I pee a little if a sneeze catches me off guard :(
* Brookie no longer kicks but does the wave inside my belly
* I often get feet in the ribs and have to push her outta there
* Its very hard to sleep...and breathe while laying down
* The boys are completely creeped out by my belly and want no part of watching it move or feeling it move lol
* My hands and feet swell...a lot...it hurts..
* My belly button is starting to pop out :(...weird!
* The dark line on my belly is now above and below my belly button
* This pregnancy has made me determined to never let myself get a big belly because it is very very hard to sit up and roll over while in bed or relaxing on the couch.
* My belly finally sticks out farther than my butt...for a while it was hard to tell which side was pregnant! :)

Holy belly...Getting big...but not crazy big yet...and I'm just fine with that!  As long as baby girl is healthy and growing my belly can stay as small as it wants!

My feet are slowly disappearing beneath my belly...even in this picture im leaning forward a little to see my toes :(  hahaha

Pre Halloween Fun

This past weekend we got invited to go to a family farm and look through their pumpkin patch for some  pumpkins.  The boys were super excited to go check it out.  Colton was especially excited because he is all about tractors and any kind of heavy machinery! The pumpkin patch was HUGE and had some HUGE pumpkins in it!  We came home with 6 very very large pumpkins and lots of little pumpkins and gourds to decorate the house and outside with.  After we picked out the biggest and best pumpkins they had cider and donuts for everyone. It was a lot of fun!

Erica, Colton, and Dylan in the pumpkin patch...Zachary did not go with us. Im afraid he is getting too old to think this stuff is cool anymore :(

After we got done down at the pumpkin patch, we headed back up towards the barns.  This family grows a ton of potatoes and sells them to different restaurants and companies.  They took us into one of the barns that they store potatoes in,  I was blown away at the amount of potatoes inside!  This barn was 100 ft long and 12 ft high.  It was FULL from floor to ceiling with potatoes!  This picture doesn't even begin to do it justice.  It was amazing to me to see that many potatoes.  Of course the boys thought it was really cool too.  The people gave each of the boys a potato bag and told them they could pick out the potatoes they wanted to take home. SO COOL!
These are ALL potatoes!!

Derek and I took the boys to the mall on Monday after school and decided to stop into the Halloween stores to check out the costumes and decorations.  Derek couldn't resist trying on some of the wigs!  The boys and I did not try any on...we don't want lice!  Derek has no hair so it didn't matter to him!  The boys and I got a kick out of seeing him in the different wigs.
Believe it or not, Derek had an afro when he was in high school.  His hair is naturally very curly.

He wishes he could grow a mullet this cool!

The side view is even better ...so handsome!
