Well Brooklyn just turned 10 months old this week! I can't believe it! It seems like yesterday she was just born. She grows so much each day and discovers new things. She melts my heart with her contagious, beautiful smile. She loves her brothers so much and they sure love her too. She is the first thing they run to when they get back from a week at their mom's. And as soon as she sees them she lights up and giggles with excitement! They are very protective of her and love to help her and play. She is such a smart little girl...it amazes me that she can figure out some of the things she does.
She has figured out which button on the cable box turns the TV on and off. She has figured out which button on the remote makes it get really loud, but then she laughs and has no interest in turning it down again. She can escape almost any blockade I make to keep her contained in the living room. And she can crawl across the floor in the blink of an eye and be into something she's not suppose to be! She is also one tough cookie! Derek and I agreed from the beginning we would stay as calm as possible when she gets bumps and bruises so that she didn't learn to be scared and cry from a little bump. Well it worked, this little girl bonks her head off the floor, doorways, toys, and tables and it doesn't phase her! If its a hard bump she will whimper but as soon as I pick her up she's fine! She even got a shot at her 9 month check up and didn't shed a tear. I think she's way tougher than her three big brothers put together!
At 9 months Brooklyn:
* loves being independent
* is constantly on the go
* crawls like a champ
* walks with her walker toy
* cruises along furniture like a pro
* stands on her own (for a bit)
* likes to go shopping and look around...and eat any tags she can grab as we walk by
* likes to turn around in the grocery cart and try to grab things in the back to chew on
* has 6 teeth that have broken through ( two bottom center, one left side bottom, two top sides, and one top middle
* loves to eat!
* enjoys cheerios.. ALOT...I don't even bother buying puffs anymore
* eats whatever I am eating most times
* eats eggs, toast, peaches, pears, kiwi, apples, bananas, mandarin oranges, carrots, peas, beans, spaghetti, chicken n' biscuits, cheerios, noodles, cereal bars, and a ton more..loves feeding herself
* switched to the transition formula and soon will be on whole milk
* wears 18 months clothes
* weighs 25 pounds and is 32 inches long!
* is in the 97%tile for height and weight
* wearing size 4 diaper
* has quite the personality emerging
* points at everything
* hates getting her diaper changed
* hates getting dressed...doesn't want to sit still
* chews on everything
* says dada and babbles everything else...except mama
* loves her v-tech dog - Violet, and her other baby doll
* still loves music
* calms down when I sing to her....clearly she doesn't know the difference between good and bad yet.
* loves going for walks in the stroller and being outside
* is the happiest, most wonderful baby I could have ever imagined!
