She is continuing to get better with her eating and belly issues. The formula has done wonders for her. We are still fighting with the insurance company to help us cover the cost. It is insanely expensive, but worth it to have a happy smiling baby! I guess I will just keep bugging the insurance companies until I get somewhere with them. Bristol has changed a lot! Her hair is getting longer and can be put in a little ponytail now. She is not growing as fast as Brooklyn did but its kind of nice having her in clothes a little longer lol. I was even told the other day that she looked "small" for a 3 month old. She is my little peanut and I love her just the way she is...chicken legs and all :) She is still very sensitive to a lot of things, but I'm starting to wonder if that is just her personality. She might be my little princess drama queen and Brooklyn will be my big tough baby Kong. She startles very easy and sometimes cries when Brooklyn is crying. Her skin seems to be very sensitive and she sometimes cries when I put lotion on her...weird. She has pretty bad eczema but it is manageable with cortizone cream made for eczema. I believe that is part of the MSPI though.
At 3 months Bristol:
* is smiling all the time, especially at familiar faces and voices
* is starting to laugh and giggle
* is very tolerant of her big sister always getting in face to give her kisses
* is a nosey rosey and likes to sit up so she can see whats going on
* is crying 1/4 as much as she used to :)
* still has her bad days but the good days far surpass the bad now :)
* is still impossible to burp most times
* chews on her hands/finger/burpclothes like crazy
* is drooling and starting the teething process
* blows spit bubbles
* weighs 13-14 pounds
* is wearing 3 month, 3-6 month, and 6 month clothes lol...depends on the fit and brand but most 3 month are getting too small
* eats about 4 ounces every 2-3 hours...sometimes less....rarely more
* loves to sit in her bumbo and watch her brothers and sister play
* has slept through the night a few times but not consistently
* doesn't like to nap a whole lot during the day.....not good for Daddy!
* loves to rock in the recliner and have her back beat (not abusively...but you know what I mean)
* can not leave the house without her white noise machine AKA the magic machine
* enjoys riding in the car and doesn't mind her carseat now that the head holder is gone!
* holds her head up really well and for long periods of time
* is a completely different baby than she was a month and a half ago!
I worry about her MSPI and whether she will outgrow it or not. I hope and pray that she does so she does not have to suffer with accidentally being exposed to milk and soy. I have been doing a lot of research on this and I can not believe the amount of common everyday foods that contain soy! Soy or some form of soy is in everything! It makes my heart sad that she may never be able to enjoy an oreo cookie, a cupcake, a brownie or anything that could be contaminated with butter, milk, vegetable oil, or cooking spray. IF she doesn't outgrow this she will strictly be a meat, veggie, and fruit girl! Which isn't the worse thing in the world, thats for sure...but who doesn't want a cookie now and then!
