A quarter of a year old already!! Bristol is 3 months!

Its hard to believe my little Bris is 3 months old already.  It doesn't seem like it has been 13 weeks!
She is continuing to get better with her eating and belly issues.  The formula has done wonders for her. We are still fighting with the insurance company to help us cover the cost.  It is insanely expensive, but worth it to have a happy smiling baby! I guess I will just keep bugging the insurance companies until I get somewhere with them. Bristol has changed a lot!  Her hair is getting longer and can be put in a little ponytail now.  She is not growing as fast as Brooklyn did but its kind of nice having her in clothes a little longer lol.  I was even told the other day that she looked "small" for a 3 month old.  She is my little peanut and I love her just the way she is...chicken legs and all :)  She is still very sensitive to a lot of things, but I'm starting to wonder if that is just her personality.  She might be my little princess drama queen and Brooklyn will be my big tough baby Kong. She startles very easy and sometimes cries when Brooklyn is crying.  Her skin seems to be very sensitive and she sometimes cries when I put lotion on her...weird.  She has pretty bad eczema but it is manageable with cortizone cream made for eczema.  I believe that is part of the MSPI though.

At 3 months Bristol:
* is smiling all the time, especially at familiar faces and voices
* is starting to laugh and giggle
* is very tolerant of her big sister always getting in face to give her kisses
* is a nosey rosey and likes to sit up so she can see whats going on
* is crying 1/4 as much as she used to :)
* still has her bad days but the good days far surpass the bad now :)
* is still impossible to burp most times
* chews on her hands/finger/burpclothes like crazy
* is drooling and starting the teething process
* blows spit bubbles
* weighs 13-14 pounds
* is wearing 3 month, 3-6 month, and 6 month clothes lol...depends on the fit and brand but most 3 month are getting too small
* eats about 4 ounces every 2-3 hours...sometimes less....rarely more
* loves to sit in her bumbo and watch her brothers and sister play
* has slept through the night a few times but not consistently
* doesn't like to nap a whole lot during the day.....not good for Daddy!
* loves to rock in the recliner and have her back beat (not abusively...but you know what I mean)
* can not leave the house without her white noise machine AKA the magic machine
* enjoys riding in the car and doesn't mind her carseat now that the head holder is gone!
* holds her head up really well and for long periods of time
* is a completely different baby than she was a month and a half ago!

I worry about her MSPI and whether she will outgrow it or not.  I hope and pray that she does so she does not have to suffer with accidentally being exposed to milk and soy.  I have been doing a lot of research on this and I can not believe the amount of common everyday foods that contain soy!  Soy or some form of soy is in everything!  It makes my heart sad that she may never be able to enjoy an oreo cookie, a cupcake, a brownie or anything that could be contaminated with butter, milk, vegetable oil, or cooking spray.  IF she doesn't outgrow this she will strictly be a meat, veggie, and fruit girl!  Which isn't the worse thing in the world, thats for sure...but who doesn't want a cookie now and then!

15 months and oh so smart!

Well my little Brooklyn is not so little anymore!  She is 15 months old and smarter than a whip!...At least we think so lol.  People always told me that kids grow up fast so enjoy every moment...I didn't really understand it or believe it until I had my own. But wow is it true!  Its unbelievable how fast they grow and change.  Brooklyn is hitting the terrible two's way early I think.  She can be the sweetest little angel one minute and the next she is screaming at the top of her lungs because she was told no.  I have a feeling she is going to be quite the monster as she grows up.  I'm not sure how to discipline her at this age though.  She understands the word NO...but either screams in my face, tries to smack me, throws whatever object happens to be around her, or laughs and does it anyway.  I don't think she understands Time-Out yet because she just screams and gets up every time I sit her down. And I'm not sure that smacking her hand is a good idea because I think I might be contradicting what I am trying to teach her..not to hit.  So I am at a loss but i'm sure we will figure it out.  I never realized how difficult parenting was and how much you doubt if you are doing the right / best thing for your kid.  I worry constantly and I'm pretty sure it is only going to get worse as they all get older.

At 15 months Brooklyn:
- loves being a little sassy pants
- is 28 1/2 pounds
- wears 24 month clothes...some 18 months still

- is addicted to popcorn chips
- plays independently really well while we take care of Bristol (kinda makes me sad)
- will chase Zoey around the house for hours to entertain herself

- is getting good at her puzzles
- follows commands well...when she wants!  Gets her diapers, throws them in the garbage, gets her shoes, gets her coat, and picks things up
- can identify everyone in her immediate family (mom, dad, brothers, sister) and can identify almost everyone else in the family.  Points to them in a picture when asked.
- knows her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, hands, feet, knees, belly, hair, and butt...knees and butt are new :)
- loves to pull everything out of the cupboards if they are left open
- still loves music and will stop to listen and dance when she hears it
- kisses her sister ALL THE TIME
- sits on, pokes, and pats her sister...out of love of course :)
