A few months ago my baby girl turned 2. Thats right...2. Where did the time go?! It seems like just yesterday I was a new mommy trying to figure out how the heck I was going to care for this helpless little baby. Now she would probably be able to take care of me! She has grown and changed sooo much in two years! She is extremely caring and compassionate. She already shows empathy and sympathy which amazes me! If someone is crying or upset she tries to make them feel better and if she sees someone is hurt she worries if they are ok. She is smarter than I could ever believe. Some of the things she says absolutely blow my mind. I wonder how it is possible for a 2 year old to know some of these things. She speaks full sentences and speaks fairly clear. She is beginning to want to be more and more independent. She wants to be able to do things without help. She knows what she wants and when she wants it and is not afraid to let everyone know. She is loud loud loud! She loves her sissy and is very protective of her. She will often come tell Derek or I if she has something in her mouth she shouldn't or if she is doing something she shouldn't. She plays with her a lot and makes sure she is safe. She brings her bottles and food and tells us when she wakes up ( even though we all can hear when she wakes up) :) She can also be pretty nasty to poor Bristol. She sometimes is pushy and takes toys away from her. She tries to take all the "good" toys away and replace them by giving Bristol a toy neither of them are interested in. Bristol doesnt usually go for it and screams. They are starting to argue and pick at each other. Just today Bristol had something that Brooklyn wanted so Bristol took off running. Brooklyn, of course, chased her until she caught her. Brooklyn took the toy from Bristol and Bristol screeched and ran over to me as if to tattle on Brooklyn. It is fun to watch because they are learning to interact and deal with different situations but at the same time I am thinking we are in trouble with these two little monsters :)
So at two years old Brooklyn:
