22 weeks!!

Today marks 22 weeks already! I am very excited to be this far and still be in good health! I am hoping and praying that everything continues as it has been! So far I cant really complain about much of anything with this pregnancy. I am starting to show now and feeling a bit like a elephant but thats to be expected I guess! I feel the baby move quite often now which is always fun and a great relief to know everything is ok with her inside there! I still get headaches almost every morning and am starting to get heartburn every now and then. Still nothing too bad to complain about!  My belly is getting bigger everyday!  I love watching it grow because that means my little girl is growing too!

Vacation!!

So we spent the past week in the Outer Banks enjoying friends and family!  This is definitely one of my favorite places in the world. It is so calm and peaceful there..honestly I cant even describe it.  Anyway we had a great time.  We left at night and drove straight through the night and arrived in the Outer Banks around 7am.  We had a whole lot of time to waste since we could not get into the house until about 3pm.  We made the best of it and did some shopping and sightseeing.
Dylan riding the mechanical shark! lol

Zach gave it a try too!

The first few nights we had some nasty thunderstorms but they are always fun to watch over the ocean.  The rest of the weather was HOT HOT HOT.  There were days that the heat index reached 115 degrees!!  Thank goodness we had a pool to relax in! The beach was beautiful but the waves were pretty intense this year!  Even the guys only went in to boogie board a few times.  The kids all loved playing in the sand and Derek was a good sport and let them bury him completely in the sand!

After a while the kids get tired of being sandy and we always head back to the pool to relax for the rest of the day!  We did go to the Aquarium and to the outlets one day when it was a little cloudy.  We stopped for lunch at Big Al's and Lilley danced her little heart out on the dance floor! We spent a lot of time at night on the beach looking for crabs and digging in the sand when it wasnt so hot!

Derek and I <3

Should this be our Christmas card next year??  LOL  Derek was yelling at Dylan because he was refusing to stand next to Colton in the picture and smile..TOO FUNNY

Thats better!!

It was a great trip and I cant wait to go back next year with our new baby girl!  :)

A blessing from God

So nervous to pull the ribbon and see whats inside!

Beyond happy and excited to see PINK!!
Kids are excited and chasing balloons!
Trying to figure out how they know its a girl on the ultrasound picture!!

On July 18th we had An ultrasound / prenatal appointment with Dr. Herbst. This was an important ultrasound because it was the anatomy scan. They check all of the babies vital organs to make sure that everything is as it should be. It is also the ultrasound where it is possible to find out the baby's gender. Of course I could not wait to find out if baby was a boy or girl! The ultrasound went great! The tech was able to see everything she needed to without any problems. We got to see both hemispheres of the brain ( gonna be a smart baby), 4 chambers of the heart, the stomach, bladder, kidneys, and liver. We even got to see a couple really neat things like the baby pulling at its ear, sticking its tongue out, and the spot where umbilical cord is inserted into the abdomen! Crazy what you can see on those things! We also got to see something that worries me a little...the baby was sticking its middle finger up! We got a picture of it...apparently the baby did not like us looking at it! Haha the only other worrisome comment that was made was that the baby was measuring a little small...but still within the normal range. Hopefully we have a growth spurt soon! And now I can finally stop saying "it" or "baby"...because we found out that we are having a baby girl!! I could not believe it!! We couldn't be any happier and the boys are super excited too! As of right now, her name will be Brooklyn Ann Watkins <3

Belly thumps and bumps

Ever since the other week when I thought I was feeling baby move it has gotten stronger and more frequent! It's the best feeling ever! Yesterday, July 16... I was busy busy busy...when I finally got a second to sit down and relax at about 9:30 at night I felt the baby start moving around like crazy...when I looked down at my belly I could see it popping out as the baby moved! It was awesome to see...unfortunately I was home alone so nobody else got to see or feel! The only problem with this new "feeling the baby move" thing is that when I don't feel him or her move...I start to get really nervous that something it wrong...I'm trying to stay positive but sometimes it's tough. Yesterday was a pretty active day for the baby and today's not so much..soo im stressing a little. But tomorrow we get to find out if it's a boy or a girl AND I will get to see that it's heart is beating perfectly and it's moving around like a crazy dancer! I can't wait!

Tap Tap...is that you?!

On the morning of Friday July 6th, at 18 weeks and 5 days, I laid in bed not wanting to get up..I felt a little tap..and then a few seconds later another tap. I starting thinking and wondering if that was the baby finally hitting hard enough tha I could feel it. I laid there a little longer asking myself if it could be gas or hunger or indigestion...but I don't think it was. So I got very excited and was hoping to feel it again soon. I didn't until much later in the day but it was the same tap from the morning. I believe it was little Baby W! I am very excited and hope it gets stronger and more frequent soon!

Take my hand, we'll make it it I swear!!

The title of this post has everything to do with the fact that I am 19 weeks prego today and in one week I will be...HALFWAY THERE..OOOOO. LIVIN ON A PRAYER! Haha that randomly popped into my head..anyway, with all the struggles in the beginning it was hard to ever believe I would make it this far! But here we are! And I am finally starting to get a bit of a baby bump...I love it!
