The girls FROZEN birthday party!

I can't believe I planned a birthday party for a 2 and a 3 year old!  This makes my heart sad and joyous all at once.  I am sad that they are growing up so quickly but I love watching them learn and grow.  They are becoming their own person with completely different personalities.  Two things they share though is their looks, and their love of princesses!  So this year we decided to have their birthday party together and to do a FROZEN party.  Since they don't need a ton of toys, grandma paid to have Elsa come to their birthday party!  We planned the party at the Keystone Manor in the community room.  We invited all their friends and had lots of food and fun!

The kids were all in amazement when Elsa walked in but unfortunately Bristol had just fallen and bumped her head before Elsa arrived so Bristol was screaming when she walked in lol.  After she finally settled things went pretty smoothly.  All the kids loved Elsa!  Some of the kids asked some pretty tough and random questions but Elsa always had a quick answer.  Kids were asking where Anna was, why she wasn't freezing things, and were her gloves were lol.  My girls, however, did not speak one word to her!  Elsa sang songs and danced with the kids, read them a few books, played pin the nose on Olaf, sang happy birthday, and watched them open presents.  After that was all done it was time to say Goodbye to Elsa.  All the kids said goodbye and now finally Brooklyn gave her a hug goodbye...but still did not say anything :)

The girls loved it and had a great time.  They talked about it for days afterwards and are still talking about how Elsa came to their birthday party!

1st year of Elf on the Shelf

Brooklyn and Bristol had an elf this year!  She showed up right after we got back from Virginia.  I called Santa and told him I thought the girls were ready for an elf this year and he sent one!  Brooklyn named her Ariel.  This was after I convinced her that Grandma, Nana, and Papa were all NOT suitable names for the elf LOL. So Ariel the Elf hung around with us until Christmas Eve when she went back to the North Pole for another year.  But the girls know that she is still watching them from up there so they better be good!

It was a lot of fun watching the girls with their elf this year.  They followed Santa's rules and did not touch the elf..not much anyway.  Brooklyn was very worried that if Bristol touched her her magic would go away.  The excitement and joy on their faces every morning when they saw the mischief Ariel got into made any mess I had to clean well worth it!

Here is a recap of all the things Ariel got into this year!
