Sports Sports Sports!

     The boys all finished their fall sports of football and soccer.  Dylan played football this past year and Colton and Zach played soccer.  Colton played for Athens Soccer Academy this year and seemed to really like it.  He seemed to learn more than he did with Valley Soccer.  He had one of his friends, Shayne, actually Dylan's friend, on his team so that was awesome for him.  He loved that!  He also met a lot of other kids from Athens that he didn't know.  It was really good to get him in with different kids for a change.  Things can get so political in kids sports its ridiculous!
      Zach played on the junior high co-ed team again this year.  He complained and hated it the entire year but stuck with it.  Their team was not very good and didn't have many experienced players so they only won 1 game the whole season.  They were all a bit discouraged but stuck it out.
      Dylan played junior redskins football again this year.  He seems to really like football games but is not a fan of going to practice everyday. Haha through the little bit of complaining he stuck it out and had a pretty good year.  He is not sure he is going to play next year.

So the boys had a few weeks off from sports and now basketball has started up for all of them!  Zachary is playing on a travel basketball team this year called the Elmira Ice.  It is expensive but hopefully will be worth it!  He loves all the kids on his team and fits right in with them even though they are more "city" kids than him.  Again, its GREAT to get him involved with new kids and out of his comfort zone a little.  He has played quite a few church youth organization games with his new team and they are awesome!  He plays really really well!  His team has only lost once!  Real AAU practice starts soon and then they have tournaments every month.  I think he is really going to enjoy it!

Zach's junior high basketball will start now too in January so he will be a busy boy! 

Dylan and Colton both played recreational basketball for about a month before the travel team started.  They both made the travel team for 5th and 6th grade!  Dylan was in a tournament over the Christmas break and played really really well!  He is fast!  

Colton has only had one game so far that I didn't make it to so hopefully he will have some more coming up soon and I can get some good pictures of both of them!
