Sandbridge 2016

We went on our annual family vacation to the beach this year over the fourth of July.  We went to Sandbridge, Va again and had a great time!  We left Saturday morning at 1 AM and arrived in Sandbridge around 9AM.  We made good time and had no trouble at all getting there with the kids.  Colton went with Aunt Carrie and Uncle Tory and Zach rode with Nana and Papa so we just had the girls and Dylan in our car. They all slept pretty good in the car with the exception of Bristol wanted to get out and "drive my car" (sit on my lap and have me hold her) in the middle of the night when she woke up and Brooklyn waking fairly often because her head kept falling in her car seat. Once we got there we had to wait for what seemed like days before we could get into the house.  Once in the house and settled we jumped right into the pool!
The girls absolutely loved the pool and didn't want to get out all week long.  The first morning we got up and went to the beach. As I suspected, Bristol HATED the sand!  She wanted absolutely nothing to do with it.  Both girls enjoyed the waves but only if someone was holding them, which got old after about 5 minutes. Brookkyn and Heather became good beach buddies since I usually carried Bristol through the water and she carried Brooklyn.  The walk to the beach was pure torture....between the hot hot sand and two toddlers struggling to walk and needing to be carried it was HELL.  Needless to say, we didn't spend a lot of time at the beach this beach vacation.  We spent more time in the pool than anywhere.  The boys all loved the beach and the waves and just hanging out being teenagers. The first few days it rained and we hung out in the house playing games.  We went to the water park this year and the girls LOVED it!  We also went to Moto World again and this time the girls rode some rides while the boys raced go carts. They all had a blast.  It was a great vacation and we can't wait to go back next year!
